Strategic project study of proposed $40m commercial retail development in Auckland. The business case was assessed over a multi-year timeframe during negotiations with local and government authorities for development approval. Planning was done in collaboration with PBA architects, construction and development advisors Greenstone Group, Tonkin + Taylor engineers, as well as numerous legal, environmental, and specialist advisors to achieve a rigorous business case study and detailed financial overview and project feasibility. Project scope covered analysis of a commercial retail and office centre, cinemas, apartment complex, and hotel, as well as automated building systems such as robotic parking facilities and innovative ventilation systems. Resource consent was achieved following 3 years research, planning and consultation, with high-level financial approval for funding by a major New Zealand/Australian bank, delivering on tangible options for board consideration and approval.

Past work in related fields include directing projects in both commercial and residential development, including but not limited to residential housing, offices, retail, and land-banking. Typically encompassing portfolio values in the region of $2.5m to $25m.

Campbell Advertising (CA) hold’s many credentials as a former media agency. Founded in 1966 at its original Auckland office at 55 Upper Queen Street in Auckland, CA commenced its Asia and USA expansion strategy from 1970, growing to cover 15 international locations between c.1970-2002. Legacy clients include Villa Maria Wine, Radio Hauraki, Sheraton Corporation, Newmans Group, New Zealand Tourism Board, and various international airline and hotel corporations throughout its history. Campbell Advertising becomes instrumental in branding Auckland as New Zealand’s ‘City of Sails’. The company was additionally responsible for large public events such as New Zealand’s International Motor Show, annually held at Auckland Show Grounds until the operation was sold and replaced by Big Boys Toys.
Ponsonby’s Shopping Village:
Officially opened to the public in October 1984 by Dame Catherine Anne Tizard, Ponsonby’s Shopping Village at the time was a notable commercial shopping complex established in central Auckland, and housed a number of retail stores, bars and restaurants, as well as the head offices of Campbell Advertising. Both companies were eventually merged as part of a wider restructure and transformation plan, re-positioned towards strategic development and investment initiatives with long-term horizons.
Merger of Campbell Advertising + Ponsonby’s Shopping Village:
As part of its transformation and renewal, Campbell Advertising Ltd (CA) & Ponsonby’s Shopping Village Ltd were merged into a single entity and renamed Campbell Aotearoa Ltd, in order to keep the former’s initials ‘CA’ and to reflect its transformation beyond media related operations.

Co-ordination efforts across communication, technical design, and funding discussions, as well as exhibition and media production for public events.
Background image was taken from a two-day live exhibition event held at Auckland War Memorial Museum and co-ordinated by TCNZ Society (The Thai Culture New Zealand / non-profit organisation). This is one example of numerous events and campaigns held over many years since.

Prime-minister of Thailand’s visit to NZ:
March 2013: Then-Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra attended a reception at AUT, co-ordinated between AUT and TCNZ. The occasion was held in order for Thailand’s then-Prime Minister to receive an honorary doctorate degree. During her visit to New Zealand, she also met with then-Prime Minister John Key for bilateral talks in efforts to strengthen the two countries’ relations.
Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) NZ tour:
August 2012: The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra’s visit to Auckland where the TPO performed at the Aotea Centre/ASB Theatre as a tribute to the Golden Anniversary of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej's visit to New Zealand.
Auckland International Cultural Festival:
Exhibition event with Auckland’s main international cultural festival. TCNZ’s involvement with this event spans over 20 years.
Organisation background:
The organisation was founded in the aftermath of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. Its first initiative was fundraising donations towards victim recovery efforts and disaster relief supplies. The organisation grew to include a large number of volunteers from varying backgrounds, and is involved in a number of Southeast Asian community and cultural matters in New Zealand.
